New products
Several manufacturers are offering new products at the end of 2018. Here is a small selection of products recently arrived on our website and not to be missed.
THE REGA PLANAR 8 TURNTABLE
The manufacturer Rega began renewing its vinyl turntable range in 2016, with the Planar 1, Planar 2 and Planar 3 models, followed in 2017 by the Planar 6.
As Roy Gandy himself told us, when he came to our site past year, the year 2018 was going to be dedicated to another novelty: the Planar 8, and it is now done! This new Rega Planar 8 has been fully redesigned: new RB880 tonearm, new chassis, new “cover”, new platter, new phono cable… Anyway, it is a brand new model close to the Rega RP10 turntable, in terms of musicality. Indeed we find a dynamic restitution, but also defined, neutral and precise. A vinyl turntable worthy of Rega’s reputation!
THE HANA ML MC CARTRIDGE
After having had the opportunity to test its prototype some weeks ago, the Hana ML cartridge is officially finalized and already available on our website!
This Hana ML cartridge is very similar to the famous Hana SL and Hana EL, which have made the success of the brand in recent years. With this new ML model, the Japanese manufacturer goes even further and offers an ambitious and high-performing low output MC cartridge. It offers a musical sound, full of definition and elegance.
We were already captivated by our tests of the prototype, but we are even more with this final version of the Hana ML! By the way, this one is also proposed in high output version, with the Hana MH cartridge.
As we told to you, the last few weeks have again been marked by the novelty. And 2018 is not finished yet… Other Hi-Fi brands are still announcing novelties for the next few weeks! Stay tuned 🙂
