The propagation speed of modulation in an analog cable is mainly determined by the dielectric performance of the insulation applied around the conductor. Hyper conductors are encapsulated in a PEF (expanded polyethylene) dielectric, with excellent immunity to interference and noise.

This cable incorporates the DD (dual-drain) shielding system and Atlas' own Grun connector. Grun 1:2 cable and “Spade” adapter are included. This “dd” configuration was originally developed for high-end Mavros and Asimi cables. Two symmetrical drain wires connect the shield to the cable return/plug interface, allowing the cable to be terminated without deforming, twisting, or mechanically stressing the shield. Screen distortion has a measurable impact, effectively changing the impedance and therefore the performance of the cable. The benefit is maintaining a constant low impedance load to the outlet and shielding against noise and signal degradation caused by RFI (radio frequency interference).

Termination is provided by low-mass, wideband Ultra RCAs. This RCA Ultra L (Latik) plug benefits from an innovative and extremely stable geometric lattice structure which is 3D printed. As always, the connection is provided without soldering in order to limit discontinuities in the signal path and limit degradation of the micro-signals as much as possible.
