The Gigawatt Power Sync power cable is the manufacturer’s most affordable product. Yet no expense was spared during its conception.

GIGAWATT POWER SYNC: CHARACTERISTICS

This new Gigawatt  cable is provided with annealed copper conductors. Its structure is based on the Gigawatt PowerSync Ultra power cable.

Each cable consists of three 2.0mm² multi-strand OFHC copper conductors (5N). Each conductor (phase and neutral) consists of a 10-strand bundle (0.514mm). As for the ground conductor, it’s composed of 5 strands. Conductors dielectric is made of polyethylene (PE).

The cable features a shield made from aluminium laminated foil (protective screen) and a drain. The whole is protected by a PVC sheath and a nice nylon braid outer sheath.

Despite its rather large outer diameter (Ø 11mm), the Gigawatt Power Sync remains relatively flexible and easy to handle.

This power cable is equipped with high-quality proprietary sockets, manufactured according to Gigawatt’s specifications. These sockets are characterised by low impedance.

GIGAWATT POWER SYNC: TESTING AND LISTENING

The Gigawatt Power Sync was designed to power high-end audio/video sources that don’t require high current. We used this power cable on a DAC and a phono preamplifier.

The reproduction is improved on all registers. Everything seems cleaner and better defined. Bass is immediately cleaner and better controlled.

Overall balance is excellent and doesn’t favour any particular register.
