GRADO GREEN-3 Cartridge

The Grado Green-3 MM cartridge operates on the OTL principle, which is dear to the heart of the New York manufacturer.

GRADO GREEN-3: FEATURES

Compared with the previous generation, the Grado Green-3's coil has been reworked, as has the moving coil, reducing the overall weight by 17%.

The internal wiring uses very high-purity deoxygenated copper conductors.

The elliptical diamond is mounted on a three-part brass cantilever.

Like all Grado transducers, the Green-3 is powered by a dual magnet system that optimises the balance between the stereo channels. All parts of the internal magnetic circuit are subject to extremely high tolerances, resulting in outstanding stereo. Grado's patented Flux-Bridger design allows the Grado Green-3 to achieve excellent balance across the entire frequency range.

The difference between Black-3 and Green-3 is the sorting that takes place during production.

Around 15% of Black-3s are produced to a much higher specification. These hand-picked products from the batch are referred to as Green-3.

Like all production, this MM cell is assembled and tested in the brand's historic production unit in Brooklyn, USA.

The listening experience, as always with Grado, is very impressive! Dynamics and rhythm tracking are benchmarks in this range.

The timbres are rich and precise. The midrange has great presence and realism.

Overall, the reproduction favours the physical side of the works. It's certainly not the most neutral, but its musicality makes up for its coloration.
