The body of the Super OM 5E cartridge is made of Noryl. This plastic and glass compound ensures high rigidity without resonances.

Despite its very affordable price, this model is equipped with an excellent elliptical stylus.

The major improvements of the Super OM 5E are an improvement of the linearity and better channel separation, while reducing distortion.

The generator is equipped with shaded pole pins that reduce magnetic losses and do not limit high frequencies. This technology extends the bandwidth at the upper end of the spectrum and improves linearity.

Its weight, output level and compliance allow it to adapt to most turntables and entry or mid-range tonearms.

This Ortofon Super OM 5E MM cartridge is perfect as an affordable replacement for old and poor-quality phono cartridge on light tonearms.

In the future, it can be upgraded with the Ortofon 10, 20, 30 and 40 stylus. It can also accept Ortofon 78 stylus.
