MoFi StudioTracker MM cartridge

This MoFi StudioTracker MM cartridge belongs to the US manufacturer's entry-level range. It was designed jointly with Allen Perkins, founder and chief engineer of the famous brand Spiral Groove.

MoFi StudioTracker: body

The MoFi StudioTracker has a grey polymer housing.

This MoFi StudioTracker cartridge has quite a unique design, you wouldn't confuse it with any other cartridge. Mind you, this can be a drawback because, owing to its design with no parallel lines, it makes it harder to adjust. But no worries, nothing a good protractor can't fix!

The gold-plated connectors are of high quality and provide perfect contact.

MoFi StudioTracker: stylus

The stylus has a great elliptical profile. It delivers great tracking, while offering a distortion-free wide frequency response (20 Hz - 20 kHz).

The generator uses two powerful and lightweight magnets (per channel) aligned with great precision. This layout delivers better separation between the right and left channel, as well as a better resolution.

Playback of this MoFi StudioTracker cartridge is precise and detailed.

This MM cartridge exhibits great articulation and perfect consistency. Its balance favours clarity and openness, without any harshness.

The stereo is very convincing and creates openness, in particular with classical music and live recordings.
