The Ortofon Replicant 100 diamond is known for offering an ultra-thin profile while offering a large contact surface.
In order to ensure sound reproduction with extreme precision and without coloration, it is associated with a boron cantilever.
New damping has been optimized to offer linear restitution.
This wide-band damping system (WRD – Wide Range Damping) provides a linear frequency response and a remarkable extension of high frequencies without aggressiveness. This advanced technology improves tracking ability and reduces distortion, ensuring faithful and natural reproduction.

Ortofon MC 90X: Generator

Its system of quadruple coils and Aucurum wire (gold-plated 6NX copper) ensure optimal signal transmission without any capacitive effect and with almost zero resistance.
The magnetic system draws inspiration from previous iconic models including the Kontrapunkt series, MC Jubilee and MC Windfeld. It is based on a small, extremely powerful neodymium magnet, which makes the generator both compact and very light with minimal dimensions.
Ortofon's field stabilizing element, a small cylinder of conductive material strategically placed inside the magnetic system, guarantees a stable field regardless of armature movement. FSE improves channel separation, while minimizing dynamic distortion and intermodulation. This is confirmed by fantastic dynamics and a surprising soundstage.

The dynamics are without comparison with a Cadenza Black. The MC 90X offers surprising liveliness while maintaining remarkable naturalness. This Ortofon cartridge seems to get the most out of every disc, even those that usually show weaknesses. However, we notice that the sound changes radically from one disc to another and even from one track to another, which proves that this MC 90X does not impose a sound signature on the music.
