Sivga Robin SV 201 closed Hi-Fi headphones

The Sivga Robin SV 021 closed-back Hi-Fi headphones are closed-back dynamic headphones.

The 50 mm diameter drivers have a polycarbonate diaphragm. It is combined with a copper-plated aluminium coil. The 3 mm thick ND-FE-B magnet provides strong magnetic power to the driver.

The whole unit is housed in a precision CNC machined solid wood shell. The finishing (polishing, varnishing etc...) is totally handmade. They offer a very ergonomic oval shape.

The headband is shaped like a spring blade and offers a perfect pressure distribution on the ears. The headband is covered with a leatherette with elegant stitching. The detachable earpieces are made of ultra-comfortable memory foam and are also covered in leatherette.

The supplied cable is housed in a high-quality woven sleeve. It is equipped with two 2.5mm mono jacks at the shells and a 3.5mm stereo jack at the other end. Sivga provides a 3.5/6.35mm jack adapter.

Like all dynamic headphones, the Sivga Robin SV 021 requires at least twenty hours of break-in before appreciating its qualities.

The bass is rich, the voices are present and the highs are clear and sharp. The bass is punchy and clear enough to allow a good readability in this register.

As far as the soundstage is concerned, the Robin SV021, although being a closed headphone, offers an excellent feeling of space. The sound stage is wide but realistic. Once again for a closed headphone, the reproduction is ample and very airy!

Compared to the competition, the SV 021 is definitely cleaner and clearer. It offers a better reproduction of details, better transparency, clearer bass and a wider sound stage. The reproduction is both transparent and relatively "soft". This allows for prolonged listening without any hearing fatigue.

Moreover, it is very versatile. At this price it is an excellent choice.
