Sivga Robin SV021 closed-back Hi-Fi headphones

The Sivga Robin SV021 closed-back Hi-Fi headphones are dynamic headphones.

The 50-mm diameter drivers feature a polycarbonate diaphragm. This diaphragm is associated to copper-plated aluminium coils. The 3 mm thick Nd-Fe-B magnets provide strong magnetic power to the driver.

The whole set is housed in a precise CNC machined massive wooden earcup. Finishing (polish, varnish, etc.) is entirely handmade. The oval shape is very ergonomic.

The leaf spring-shaped headband provides perfect pressure distribution on the ears. This headband is covered with nicely sewed leatherette. The detachable earpads consist of ultra comfortable memory foam also covered with leatherette. 

The supplied cable is covered with a very high-quality woven sheath. It’s provided with two 2.5 mm mono jacks on the earcup side and one 3.5 mm stereo jack on the other end. Of course, Sivga provides the 3.5/6.35 mm jack adaptor.

Like all dynamic headphones, the Sivga Robin SV021 requires around 20 hours of run-in at least before one can truly enjoy its qualities.

Low frequencies are rich, vocals are present and high frequencies are clear and sharp.

Bass is punchy and rather clear which allows nice readability in this register.

Regarding the soundstage, the Robin SV021 provides an excellent sense of space despite being closed-back headphones. The soundstage is wide but realistic. Once again, reproduction is wide and airy for closed-back headphones!

Compared to the competition, the SV021 is definitely cleaner and clearer. They provide increased detail reproduction, improved transparency, cleaner low frequencies and wider soundstage. Reproduction is both transparent and pretty soft. This allows prolonged periods of listening without auditory fatigue.

Moreover, the headphones are very versatile. An excellent choice in this price range.
