This superb little Lehmann Audio Drachenfels box is the replacement for the famous Lehmann Audio Rhinelander. It has been completely redesigned and is inspired by the circuit of the Lehmann Audio Linear II headphone amplifier, which remains the most used headphone amp by professionals worldwide.
LEHMANN AUDIO DRACHENFELS: COMPONENTS
Its modular design with high-end components opens up long-term prospects in terms of quality and durability. Indeed, thanks to the modular printed circuit boards that will be offered, the Drachenfels will allow for evolution with the arrival of new digital standards: a simple module and rear panel exchange will enable an upgrade!
As with all Lehmann Audio products, the Drachenfels features top-tier components: MKT capacitors, military-grade resistors, and gold-plated connectors. The volume potentiometer used is an ALPS Blue, well-known among audiophiles.
The board and all the components are housed in a non-magnetic metal case.

The Drachenfels is equipped with two pairs of RCA connectors on its back. One for the analog input and one output.
It is possible to use the Drachenfels as a preamplifier.
The Drachenfels offers a gain of 12dB which is sufficient and perfectly compatible with 90% of audio headphones. It can drive headphones with an impedance of 15 Ohms at a level of half a watt!
The power supply is provided by a simple small wall box that does its job perfectly.
