Pro-Ject Box DS CD Player

The Pro-Ject CD Box DS is an exceptionally high performing CD player. It has an anti-vibration, anti-interference metal housing, with a front panel available in silver or black.  It also has a high-end transport with a slot loading mechanism (as opposed to a CD drawer). It uses an external 18V power supply to prevent interference. 

It uses a Burr Brown PCM1796 DAC, which ensures ultra precise conversion quality. On the left-hand side of the front panel is the On/Off button, with a small LED light to indicate when it is switched on. In the middle is a blue display with a set of buttons underneath it for controlling the CD player functions. It also comes as standard with a remote control that allows you to access other functions such as Repeat Album and Repeat Track. The remote control also lets you adjust the volume of Pro-Ject amplifiers (e.g. the Pro-Ject Stereo Box DS) and preamplifiers (e.g. the Pro-Ject Pre Box DS). 

You can connect the CD Box S to an amplifier or preamplifier, via its RCA analogue stereo output on the back panel, and to a digital-to-analogue converter (e.g. the Pro-Ject DAC Box DS) or audio/video amplifier via the coaxial S/PDIF output on the left-hand side of the back panel.
