HP Real Cable 3D-TDC

The Real Cable 3D-TDC is a very high-end loudspeaker cable offering unprecedented performance in this price range.

3D-TDC offers the equivalent of a 2 x 6 mm2 cross-section. The conductors are made of OFC copper with a purity of 99.999%. The fairly complex architecture is designed in 3 groups of conductors. The Hugh Spec Copper Conductor braiding divides up the frequencies: 1 large single strand is dedicated to the low frequencies, 2 specific single strands are dedicated to the medium frequencies and 5 thin single strands are dedicated to the high frequencies. This ‘Time Difference Control (TDC)’ technology compensates for propagation differences between low, medium and high frequencies. This arrangement results in very low capacitance and resistance. The whole system is encased in a transparent polyethylene sheath. The insulation is plant-based, with mechanical damping inserted between the browns. The ends are fitted with excellent 24K Gold Multipoint banana connectors.

The Real Cable 3D-TDC delivers powerful, highly dynamic sound reproduction. The top end of the spectrum is reproduced with great finesse and transparency, and at the same time with great smoothness. The bass is very deep but very controlled and articulate. The bassist's playing and the pianist's left hand are perfectly distinguishable. The transparency and definition across the entire bandwidth is astonishing for a cable at this price. There's also remarkable openness and a deep, wide soundstage.
