HP Real Cable PRESTIGE 400

The Real Cable PRESTIGE 400 is a top-of-the-range speaker cable at an affordable price.

The Prestige 400 has an attractive cross-section of 2 x 4 mm2. The bi-metal conductors are 99.999% pure OFC copper and silver. The architecture is fairly complex, with 7 groups of conductors. 1 multi-strand group is dedicated to low frequencies, 4 are dedicated to medium frequencies and 2 groups of fine silver browns are dedicated to high frequencies. This ‘Time Difference Control (TDC)’ technology compensates for propagation differences between low, medium and high frequencies. This arrangement results in very low capacitance and resistance. The whole unit is housed in a transparent polyethylene sheath.

The ends are fitted with excellent 24K Gold Monoblock banana connectors.

The Real Cable prestige 400 delivers a very full and dynamic sound reproduction. The top end of the spectrum is reproduced with great finesse and transparency. The bass is very deep and present, yet dynamic and nuanced. The transparency across the entire bandwidth is astonishing for a cable at this price.
