Tellurium Q Ultra Black II Speaker Cables

The Tellurium Q Ultra Black II speaker cable is the flagship speaker cable from British manufacturer Tellurium Q.

TELLURIUM Q ULTRA BLACK II: DESIGN

It presents itself as a large, relatively flat speaker cable. It is very wide but not very thick.

The two conductors are mechanically separated from each other by several centimeters. They are held at the ends by an aluminum sleeve.

Apart from this design flair, the cable maintains the usual understated elegance typical of the Anglo-Saxon manufacturer.

TELLURIUM Q ULTRA BLACK II: TESTING AND LISTENING

We were already impressed by the Tellurium Q Blue Diamond speaker cable. However, it must be admitted that even though the Ultra Black II resembles it physically, the sound reproduction between these two cables is incomparable.

Its reproduction is clear and highly transparent, revealing the smallest details without any aggression. This transparency spans from the low end to the extreme highs without favoring any particular register.

The lower spectrum is remarkably clean and natural. Double basses sound remarkably realistic, with ample presence that does not compromise the clarity of the musician's performance.

It's also worth noting the remarkable tonal quality that reproduces vocals with unsettling realism. Very few cables offer such lifelike sound reproduction, even at this price range! The cable seems to disappear, as if we had connected the amplifier directly to the speakers.

The Tellurium Q Ultra Black II may not be the most demonstrative speaker cable we've encountered, but it is certainly the most accurate, the most musical... perhaps the best?!
