The new Atlas EOS 2.5 EM power cable is the Scottish manufacturer Atlas's democratic response to these disruptions that compromise the musicality and transparency of your Hi-Fi system. This third-generation cable has undergone several improvements aimed at minimizing noise (EM = Electro Magnetic).
ATLAS EOS 2.5 EM: CONDUCTORS
The Atlas EOS DD cable utilizes 2.5mm² high-purity OFC copper conductors, offering very low resistance. These are inserted into a high-resistance PVC dielectric.
The 2mm² DD (Double Drain) conductors are surrounded by an anti-vibration layer and a hybrid carbon-loaded polymer screen, providing an effective barrier against RFI/MFI pollutions. The entire assembly is then encased in PVC insulation doubled with a black nylon braid.
Here, the "DD" technology is simplified compared to the manufacturer's high-end cables but retains the advantages of low and constant impedance, along with a 360° total shield, offering protection against noise and signal loss caused by radio frequency interference (RFI).
The Atlas EOS PLUG IEC and Schuko connectors are of excellent quality, ensuring impeccable electrical and mechanical contact.

ATLAS EOS 2.5 EM: TESTING AND LISTENING
In listening tests, the Atlas cable lives up to its promises. The reproduction immediately becomes more defined, dynamic, and clearer. The device's tone and personality do not seem affected; on the contrary, they are refined.
There is also a very low noise level, enhancing detail and note endings with much more clarity. The lower end of the spectrum also appears better controlled and clearer.
