Audioquest Powerquest 505 power filter

Drawing on its experience in power treatment, Audioquest introduces a new range of network conditioners: the Powerquest 303, 505, and 707. These have been particularly optimized for Hi-Fi stereo systems, multi-channel home cinema, and professional audio or video installations.

The Powerquest 505 power filter is the intermediate model in this range.

AUDIOQUEST POWERQUEST 505: ENCLOSURE

The Powerquest 505 power filter does not resemble a traditional power strip. It takes the form of a standard audio device in a professional 2-unit format. It even comes with a set of brackets for rack mounting.

The front panel features the main switch and two LEDs indicating overvoltage or potential protection status.

On the back of the Powerquest 505, there are seven Schuko outlets, three of which are intended for high-current devices.

The device is powered via an IEC socket and comes with an Audioquest Powercord PQ-715 cable.

AUDIOQUEST POWERQUEST 505: TECHNOLOGY

The Audioquest Powerquest 505 filter works by linearly treating noise to provide a reduction across a wide bandwidth.

It is equipped with surge protection and an automatic shutdown in case of extreme voltage, without impacting the dynamics or transparency.

It has seven AC outlets: three high-current outlets for devices like amplifiers, and four linear filtering outlets for more modest devices like sources or preamplifiers.

Each power block is isolated and optimized for the connected device. This helps control and limit complex interactions between components. Each outlet is designed to control radio frequency noise and other induced noises present in the AC current. It also treats noise induced by the components of the audio or video system.

It comes with an excellent quality power cable, the Power Cord 715, in a 2m length. This cable features "semi-solid" conductors made of LGC (Long Grain Copper). It employs ZERO-Tech and RF/ND-Tech, technologies also found in the Wind Monsoon power cable.
