The Soundcast VG5 Bluetooth portable speaker is the older sister of the Soundcast VG3 Bluetooth portable speaker. It is bigger (43 cm x 19.7 cm in diameter) and weighs 5 KG. It is also designed to be used outside.
SOUNDCAST VG5: CHARACTERISTICS
This portable speaker is more powerful than its younger sister and is equipped with a high performance 6” woofer with an IMPP cone (polypropylene), a butyl rubber surround, and a ferrite motor designed to increase the battery life. The woofer is in a downward firing configuration for a better bass rendition.
Two 3” full range loudspeakers with a light neodymium motor and aluminium cone project the sound 360 degrees.
The speaker is bi-amplified, 60 watts for the basses and 10 watts for the high midrange controlled by a class D amplifier.
SOUNDCAST VG5: INTERFACE AND USE
Equipped with a backlit capacitive touch interface, there are the following buttons: power on/off, play/ pause, Bluetooth, volume, and TWS (Qualcomm® TrueWireless™ Stereo).
There is a mute button that also serves as a parental lock. By pressing down on the mute button, you can lock the keypad of the Soundcast VG5 in order to avoid using the speaker involuntarily.
Regarding the interface, a row of 11 LEDs change color which enables you to see the volume and battery level.
An auxiliary input 3.5mm jack is available to connect your tablet, smartphone, etc. When a device is connected to this input it is indicated on the keypad by an indicator light.

The Soundcast VG5 is equipped with the Qualcomm® TrueWireless™ Stereo technology which makes it possible to connect two Soundcast speakers together, thus creating a stereo system.
The Soundcast VG5 Bluetooth portable speaker has a greater connection thanks to its Bluetooth 4.2 technology with 8 memory slots! Its high quality proprietary 24 bits processor enables it to have the Bluetooth Hi-Res AAC + aptX technology (high definition Bluetooth quality).
SOUNDCAST: AUTONOMY
The battery life is of 10 hours in playback. It is rechargeable via a micro USB or thanks to the included charging cable.
Unlike its younger sister, the Soundcast VG5 Bluetooth portable speaker has a “USB/ service” output so that you can charge another device.
