All-aluminium construction
The device's case is made from a block of aerospace-grade aluminium. It is precision-machined using CNC techniques. This sturdy, matte-textured case improves durability while effectively protecting the audio circuits from external interference.
More than 50% of the front panel is occupied by a large, high-resolution colour touchscreen. It combines practicality and aesthetics. It clearly displays playback information, controls and system status. Of course, it also allows you to browse your music library and adjust settings in a very intuitive and fluid way.

EVERSOLO DMP-A6 Gen2: Connections

Eversolo offers multiple connections on the rear of the device. The analogue outputs are RCA and XLR, offering excellent quality balanced output. On the digital side, there are two Tosling optical inputs and outputs and a coaxial Spdif input and output.  In addition, there is an HDMI Arc, USB input and output (audio out) and an RJ45 network socket. An audio-only output is also available on the HDMI format.
The Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen2 is also equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 audio input and output supporting SBC/AAC.
Power is supplied via an IEC socket, which allows you to optimise it with an excellent power cable.

The audio design is fully symmetrical from decoding to the analogue XLR output. This results in reduced distortion and a wide dynamic range. 
Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by two ES9038Q2M chips. They process the left and right channels independently, offering optimum resolution.
To limit jitter, synchronisation is managed by a high-precision dual clock, combined with optimised algorithms, ensuring stable audio performance.
The third-generation USB audio interface supports native DSD512 and 32-bit 768 kHz PCM decoding, ensuring high-resolution audio reproduction in its original quality, making every note rich and captivating.

The EOS audio processing developed by Eversolo bypasses the limitations of SRC, delivering high-fidelity sound quality. Whether playing locally stored music or streaming content from third-party applications (such as Apple Music), it guarantees playback at the highest possible resolution.

EVERSOLO DMP-A6 Gen2: Testing and listening

From the very first tracks, the Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen2 delivers highly faithful and accurate sound reproduction. It captures every detail of the recording.
With classical music, it delivers a very musical reproduction that is both clear and precise. The soundstage is surprising in both width and depth. There is a lot of space between the different instruments. This is even more spectacular with live recordings. 
It is certainly important to pay attention to the combination with other elements of the system and the cables. It performs best with amplifiers or systems that are not too analytical. We noticed that the overall reproduction seems more surgical and less musical than the Bluesound Node 2025, even though the latter seems to offer slightly less finesse in the high frequencies. However, it can always be paired with a higher quality DAC for superior musicality.
Nevertheless, the Eversolo DMP-A6 is an exceptional device thanks to its features, compatibility, screen, design and excellent app.
