Bluesound has enjoyed unprecedented and unrivalled success over the last 5 years with its Bluesound Node network player, the latest version of which is still the benchmark in terms of functionality and musicality. BLUESOUND NODE 2025: Housing and connections

The box takes up the iconic design of its network player, as well as the same connections. Bluesound Node 2025 comes in the form of a small rectangular black or white satin ‘box’ measuring 22 by 15 cm.

On the front, there's only a 6.33mm stereo headphone jack and a status LED.

The top of the case has a black lacquered panel incorporating the tactile keys and status LEDs. There are 5 buttons for accessing presets, a volume slider and two buttons for accessing the next or previous track.

The blue LED has two functions: depending on the colour (blue, white, red) and flashing, it indicates a dozen or so Node function states (power on, network connection, silent mode, reset, etc.).

On the back of the Bluesound Node 2025, you'll find a very comprehensive connection panel for a device in this range:

. Two RCA analogue outputs (fixed or variable).

. One mono analogue output for a subwoofer.

. One RCA SPDIF digital output.

. One Toslink optical digital output.

. One RJ45 LAN connection.

. A USB-A connection for connecting a USB memory stick or external hard drive . . HDMI eARC input/output

. An optical and analogue Mini Toslink/Stereo Jack combo input.

There's also an IR input and a Trigger Out in mini-jack format. Power is supplied via an IEC C7 cable.

The Bluesound Node 2025 integrates the BluOS Controller operating system. This allows access to online music services, internet radio and your own music library stored on your computer, smartphone or external hard drive (such as a USB stick).

This Bluesound Node 2025 network player is equipped with one of the most powerful ARM® CORTEX™ processors: the A53, which runs at 1.8 GHz. Powerful and extremely fast, this high-end component of the computer industry is associated with a 32-384 kHz architecture oversampled 8 times!

The Bluesound Node 2025 is equipped with an ESS SABRE® ESS ES9039Q2M digital-to-analogue converter at the cutting edge of the audiophile industry. It incorporates Hyperstream® IV technology for breathtaking dynamics and ultra-low distortion. The NODE supports audio up to 24-bit/192kHz.

The Node 2025 incorporates Dirac Live Room Correction technology. This measures and corrects room acoustics. It eliminates standing waves, reverberations and other undesirable distortions caused by the listening room. However, a calibration kit with a high-sensitivity microphone is required, as well as a paying licence from Dirac.

Bluesound Node 2025 provides instant access to millions of tracks. It is fully compatible with many online and HD music services: TIDAL®, Spotify®, Rdio®, Qobuz® and many more.

This network player is also compatible with platforms featuring thousands of internet radio stations. You can also access your iTunes library or audio files downloaded and stored on your USB NAS, without having to turn on your computer. You can control your listening with the app for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire and for computers running Windows and MAC OS X.

The Bluesound Node 2025 is also compatible with MP3 and most other formats. But above all, it's a high-fidelity network player! It can play audio formats in very high definition.

BLUESOUND NODE 2025: NEW FEATURES

Finally, headphone lovers will be pleased to learn that Bluesound has completely reworked headphone amplification. It now offers truly top-of-the-range performance. It's driven by cutting-edge technologies like THX AAATM technology, with its patented error correction system that delivers infinitely low levels of noise, distortion and power consumption for uncompromising headphone listening quality. The headphone output is now in 6.35 mm stereo jack format.

But the main new feature is the use of the famous and ultra-high-performance Sabre ESS ES9039Q2M DAC. This enables the Node 2025 to offer audiophile design and reproduction. Jitter is close to zero and noise levels remain ultra-low.
