In 1999, Dynavector revolutionised the high-end MC cartridge market with the flagship DRT XV-1! It is currently available as the 'T' version. However, it builds on the flagship design developed for its predecessors. First of all, the exclusive magnetic system made of eight small alnico magnets. The coils are made of a very thin and high purity conductor. Lacquered bamboo holds the assembly together, delivering great acoustic results and a level of rigidity that is superior to aluminium, yet much lighter. The boron cantilever has a high purity steel armature creating a more stable magnetic field. The overall armature is made of stainless steel and the front features a V-shaped front yoke.
