The Davis Acoustics Krypton 3 speakers have been designed to embody the qualities of the Krypton series, but in more compact spaces. This two-way compact model features a front-firing laminar port and is crafted with the same attention to perfection as its larger counterparts, the Davis Acoustics Krypton 6 and Davis Acoustics Krypton 9.

DAVIS ACOUSTICS KRYPTON 3: DESIGN AND FRONT PANEL

This bookshelf speaker comes in fairly traditional dimensions for a 2-way speaker of its class, though it may be considered quite substantial with its 35 cm height and 27 cm depth.

The speaker grille is available in black or grey jersey or tweed, depending on the finish (black, white, or walnut). It is held in place on the front panel by magnets, allowing the panel to remain completely clean and preserving the speaker's understated and contemporary design.

The Davis Acoustics Krypton 3 bookshelf speaker is equipped with two drivers: the high frequencies are handled by a new 28 mm tweeter with a fabric dome, ensuring precise and detailed treble. It is complemented by a rear decompression chamber.

The resonance frequency has been pushed beyond 24 kHz to offer unparalleled clarity, precision, and absence of distortion in the audible high frequencies.

Mid-range and bass frequencies are reproduced by a single 130 mm Kevlar driver. This 7th generation membrane is paired with a machined metal dispersion plug, enabling it to reproduce frequencies from 55 to 4000 Hz!

Both speakers are surrounded by a circular foam to reduce proximity diffractions and achieve a more defined response.

The speaker is Bass Reflex loaded with a front laminar port, facilitating speaker placement.

The Krypton 3 bookshelf speakers feature a high-quality gold-plated and insulated binding post (similar to WBT clones), accepting bare wire, spade connectors, or banana plugs.

The speaker comes with an inclined support and non-slip pads. It is recommended to leave at least 25 cm of space from the rear and side walls and to slightly angle them towards the listening area for optimal sound spatialization and a three-dimensional effect. Ideally, place them on heavy acoustic stands around 60 cm tall, or alternatively on a shelf or console with a minimum separation of 1.80 m.

The Davis Acoustics Krypton 3 bookshelf speakers are easy to power and install in small rooms.

Their neutral character ensures high-quality listening across various music genres (from classical to rock, jazz, world music, etc.) and makes them compatible with a wide range of electronics. They offer a sensitivity close to 89.5 dB, relatively high for bookshelf speakers in this segment.
