This open dynamic headphone features individually handcrafted Brazilian Walnut shells, finished in an elegant satin lacquer. The Grado S950 is the first Grado model (along with the HP100 SE) to feature detachable cables. Unlike the cable currently used in the Statement series, it has a softer yet more durable braided finish. This cable consists of 12 high-quality OFC conductors. At the ends, there is a 6.3 mm jack plug, and to connect to each shell, a 4-pin mini XLR connector.
