Naim Audio DAC

Naim Audio products stand out from the crowd. The Naim Audio DAC has a distinctive feature typical of the brand: the 3 mm non-magnetic aluminium chassis. Four Toslink optical inputs and four great quality coaxial inputs (two with RCA connectors and two BNC connectors) are available. Two USB inputs are also available, one on the front panel and another one at the back of the DAC. Its ten digital inputs make it compatible with all digital sources and above all, they significantly improve the sonic performance. The Naim Audio DAC can process audio data sampled up to 768 kHz and up to 24 bits resolution for USB inputs and 192 kHz and up to 24 bits for the optical and coaxial inputs. The USB inputs are compatible with Apple's iDevices.

The PCBs are made of six layer glass fibre for a high-speed data transfer and once again, for low microphony. The Naim Audio DAC overcomes jitter issues by sending data to a rotating RAM memory. Data RAM buffers the incoming S/PDIF data stream ready for re-clocking by a crystal oscillator. It has high performance analogue output stages.
