Atoll IN80se Integrated Amplifier

The Atoll IN80 SE2 integrated amplifier was designed and manufactured in France. Its metal body is 1.5mm thick and the brushed aluminium front panel is available in either black or silver (optional). The top of the amplifier is perforated for increased heat ventilation. You can select your source using the 2 buttons (relay controlled) on the right-hand side of the front panel, and set of LED lights will indicate the source selected. The volume potentiometer is located in the centre of the panel. The Atoll IN80 SE2 can also be controlled via a remote control (optional). It has a 6.35mm headphone jack output. It has a 330VA toroidal transformer, as well as 4 analogue stereo inputs, 1 Tape input/output, 1 bypass input and a dual preamp output. This dual output means that you can connect up to two power amplifiers (bi-amplification) or a subwoofer. If you choose to use the bypass input, the IN80 SE2 amplifier will take on the role of a power amplifier. 

The Atoll IN80 SE2 amplifier has a power capacity of 80W per channel. This means that it can be used to power a large number of different speakers. The Atoll IN80 SE2 amplifier uses an electronic protection system whereby if the maximum power is exceeded, a warning light will flash red for a few seconds and the device will lower the volume automatically. After this, the device will function normally. The design of this amplifier consists of a symmetrical internal wiring structure configured in a dual mono mode, using carefully selected discrete components. The output stage uses Mosfet transistors.

The Atoll also presents numerous possibilities for additional functions. For example, it can accommodate a phono stage, digital S/PDIF chip and a wireless card. There are 2 phono stage models compatible with the IN80 SE2, which are the Atoll P50 phono stage for MM cartridges, and the Atoll P100 phono stage for MM and MC cartridges. Once installed, you'll be able to listen to your favourite vinyl records through your IN80 SE2 amp. An S/PDIF chip lets you connect the IN80 SE2 to a digital source. A wireless card and an Atoll USB dongle let you transmit audio signal wirelessly to your amplifier from your MAC or PC. Only one card can be inserted at a time into the Aux input.
