Atoll CD50 SE-2 CD Player

The Atoll CD50 SE2 CD player is replaced by the Atoll CD50 Signature CD player.

The Atoll CD50 SE2 CD playerhas a metal housing and a brushed aluminium front panel (available in silver or black). This CD player boasts an optimised pure CD mechanism to limit jitter as much as possible. This mechanism is fitted onto the player’s anti-resonance body, which is designed to prevent unwanted vibrations from affecting the sound quality. Similarly, the analogue and digital power supplies are separate in order to prevent interference. It uses a transformer that is specifically designed for audio stages.

The CD50 SE2 CD player can play CDs, CD-Rs and MP3s, and also displays CD-Text when the CD provides it. You can connect it to an integrated amplifier (e.g. Atoll IN50 SE), via the RCA stereo analogue output, and to a digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), via the coaxial S/PDIF digital output. These audio outputs are entirely plated with gold. The CD50 SE2 comes as standard with a remote control, but can also be controlled using the buttons on the right-hand side of the front panel. You can also insert a digital card to transform this CD50 SE2 CD player into a digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). If you do choose the install this optional digital card, you will also be able to access the USB input and coaxial S/PDIF input or Toslink optical input.
