The Bluesound Node network player is a slightly more developed version of the Bluesound’s best buy. In reality, it takes 98 % of the functions and performances of the Bluesound Node 2i.

Bluesound Node: features

The Bluesound Node  integrates a BluOs Controller operating system into your existing Hi-Fi system. This source gives you access to online music services, internet radios and your own music library stored on your computer, smartphone or external drive (such as USB drive).

This network drive is therefore equipped with one of the most powerful ARM® CORTEX ™ processors: the A53, which runs at 1.8 GHz. Powerful and extremely fast, this high-end component of the computing industry is associated with a 32-384 kHz architecture oversampled 8 times.

To these is added an exclusive HybridDigital™ amplification and an analog/digital converter that allows the HD music treatment.

Bluesound Node: compatibilité

The Bluesound Node gives you an instant access to million of tracks. It is fully compatible with several services of HD online music: TIDAL®, Spotify®, Rdio®, Qobuz and many others.

This network player is also compatible with platforms offering thousands of online radios. It also allows the access to your iTunes library and audio files downloaded and stored on your NAS USB, without turn on your computer. You can control your listening with the application for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire and for Windows and MAC SOS X operating system.

The Bluesound Node is also compatible with the MP3 format and most of the available formats. But above all, it's a High-Fidelity network player! It offers the possibility to read audio formats in HD.

Bluesound Node: installation

You only have to connect the Node to your audio-video or Hi-Fi installation. Then, you can choose between analogue or digital output.

Finally, just connect to the network via RJ45 socket or Wifi. Indeed, the Bluesound Node allows you to use your home wireless network. It can be connected via Bluetooth aptX 5.0 HD.

The technology of the Wifi antenna is very developed and the ARM Cortex9 processors are very fast, this ensures a reproduction without cut and latency in all the rooms of your home, even with HD audio files.

You can synchronize music anywhere at home with multiple Bluesound players and choose different songs in different places.

The HDMI eArc connector allows the connection of a television or a digital video source.

Bluesound Node : listening and review

The restitution makes place to fluidity, precision, dynamic and transparency, even on complex works.

The bass are precise, very dynamic and perfectly controlled. The midrange/treble is precise and offers a lot of details, mostly on high-resolution files.

The Bluetooth connection offers a slight decrease in quality, but stays largely acceptable compared to competing products.

The performances and possibilities offered by the Bluesound Node network player are inversely proportional to its price. It is certainly the simplest device we have had the opportunity to try. And regarding to its performances, compatibilities and ergonomics, it seems to be unrivalled.

In addition, it offers the possibility to be connected to a high-end DAC to hugely improve its audio performances. We connected it to the Atoll DAC200 Signature DAC and the result was exceptional!
