At the end of 2019, we discovered new products by the British manufacturer Cambridge Audio, with the renewal of its Topaz range, renamed AX. The manufacturer continues to release new products and today, it is the CX range’s turn!
The Cambridge Audio CXA61 and CXA81 integrated amplifiers
After several years of good and loyal services, Cambridge Audio decided to renew its CXA60 and CXA80 integrated amplifiers. Indeed, these have been replaced by two new models, that have received evolutions: the CXA61 and CXA81 integrated amplifiers.
On these two integrated amplifiers, we find the new brushed-aluminium finish, proper to the renewal of the AX range. The CXA61 and CXA81 integrated amps offer several inputs: analogue, coaxial, optical, USB and even Bluetooth aptX HD.
In terms of sound, if you think that the previous model are quite dark and colored, these new amps by Cambridge Audio will make you change your mind: these are more transparent and alive. The CXA81 will go even further compared to the CXA61, with an almost 3D restitution and an outstanding musicality in this range. A must-have product!

Like its acolytes, the new version of the Cambridge Audio CXC CD transport changes its look with the pretty anthracite grey finish. This is the only CD drive offered by Cambridge Audio, the manufacturer designed it to offer the best playback performances possible.
This goal is achieved thanks to its quality components, the Cambridge Audio CXC offers very good results, with a detailed sound, full of transparency. In this range, it outperforms in many points the other CD players available on the market. A success!
