The THORENS TD 402 DD is the brand's very first direct drive turntable. The TD 402 DD aims to combine impeccable quality with the simplest possible operation. Equipped with direct drive and a semi-automatic playback system, the TD 402 DD is very easy to use.

On the TD 402 DD, THORENS has done everything to simplify operation. The start and stop system is automatic.

The turntable also features a built-in switchable MM phono stage, allowing easy and complete connection to any modern audio system: a stereo amplifier, a hi-fi system, or even a pair of active speakers without a phono input.

The TP 72 carbon fibre tonearm is paired with the excellent Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, delivering precise, dynamic and perfectly balanced playback. Its elliptical stylus ensures fine groove tracing, while its lively sonic character reveals all the richness and emotion of your vinyl records.

The direct drive is stable and very quiet. Start and stop are automatic.
