AUDIOQUEST GREYHOUND: CONDUCTORS

Audioquest Greyhound has been designed with monobrun (solid) conductors to minimize inter-strand distortion.

This solid conductor is plated with 0.5% silver. Silver performs very well at high frequencies, as these signals travel almost exclusively along the surface of the conductor. As in this case, where a low-frequency signal passes through, this makes it almost as efficient as solid silver cable, but at a price much closer to solid copper cable. And it increases harmonic richness.

It uses the Hyperlitz coaxial structure dear to the American manufacturer Audioquest. This geometry consists of eight negative conductors spiraling around a single positive conductor of larger diameter. This large cross-section cable minimizes the disadvantages of skin effect and offers low resistance.

AUDIOQUEST GREYHOUND: PLUGS

RCA plugs are cold-soldered to the conductors. This solderless connection reduces the distortion generated by traditional soldering.

Conductor insulation is managed by Polyethylene (PE) foam. This is a low-loss, low-distortion material. In fact, its high air content causes much less of the fuzziness common to other insulating materials.

AUDIOQUEST GREYHOUND: TESTING AND LISTENING

Connecting this Audioquest Greyhound cable to a subwoofer immediately produces a deep, articulate bass! Low frequencies seem more legible and "physical" than with a standard cable.

What's more, there's no noise or "hum" to be heard, making the extreme bass very clean and legible.
