MUSICAL FIDELITY M6S PRE: CHASSIS

It features the Series 6 casing from the manufacturer, but this chassis is custom-made for the M6s PRE. It is "massive" and quite imposing for a preamplifier in this range. The chassis is made of high-quality, very rigid metal. The front panel is available in natural or black brushed aluminum.
The front is very simple, with a volume knob in the center and input and output selectors on each side.

At the back of the device, there are two balanced XLR inputs and four RCA inputs. The M6s PRE is equipped with an excellent phono input with an MM/MC selector. Additionally, there is a 24/96kHz USB input. The "Aux" input can be configured as a Bypass (HC) input. The Tape input is also paired with a "Record" output, which is very convenient for connecting a headphone amplifier, for example.
The balanced XLR outputs are complemented by RCA outputs.

Power is supplied via an IEC socket, and choosing a high-quality power cable is recommended.

Inside the chassis, there is a high-quality symmetrical design. The power supply uses a toroidal transformer and several dedicated filtering and regulation stages. The circuit operates in pure Class A and only includes high-quality components.
