It naturally features the Series 6 cases of the manufacturer, but this chassis is custom-made for the M6s PRX. It is made of high-quality, very rigid metal. There is also the brushed aluminum front panel available in natural or black. The front remains very simple, with a power switch and an input selector.

On the back of the device, there is a balanced XLR input which is of course preferred. It is doubled by two switchable RCA inputs and an RCA output that could be used with a subwoofer, for example. The connection to the speakers is made via excellent quality terminals accepting bare wire, spades, or banana plugs.

Power is supplied via an IEC socket, and choosing a quality power cable is recommended.

Inside the chassis, there is the same dual mono design as the manufacturer’s most ambitious amplifiers. In the center of the chassis is an enormous dual-winding toroidal transformer. But what sets the M6s PRX apart is its unique Choke Regulated Power Supply (CRPS).

Although it shares the same basic circuit topology as the high-end products like the Titan or AMS50, the use of CRPS in the M6s PRX is unique to this model. The choke offers high resistance to alternating current and very low resistance to direct current. It is an extremely effective solution for power supply noise. Chokes were commonly used in traditional tube amplifiers but very rarely in transistor amplifiers. Here, Musical Fidelity uses a double bifilar choke assembly for optimal noise rejection. The CRPS also offers exceptional power filtration and rejection of mains noise, ensuring a low-noise power supply and immunity from interference transmitted through the network. This technology allows it to achieve unprecedented performance levels in this range.
