Audioquest Jaws Power Cable

The Audioquest Jaws replaces the famous Monsoon and is part of the new generation of power cables in the American manufacturer's Wind series.

Audioquest Jaws: Features

This new power cable exclusively uses Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors. The Solid Core phase and neutral conductors have a cross-section of 2 x 3.31 mm², with a 1 x 2.08 mm² ground conductor. This makes it compatible with 16 A currents at 240 V.
While many power cables feature low resistance to meet high current demands, a cable's characteristic impedance is also crucial for delivering optimal performance.

Unlike most cables that constrict or compress a transient, Audioquest power cables combine low DC resistance with ZERO characteristic impedance. This allows for the delivery of uncompressed high-current transients.

The Jaws is equipped with 4-layer shielding, including one layer of graphene. Graphene is a conductor effective across a very wide frequency range, enhancing shielding in the very high frequencies where conventional shielding loses effectiveness.

Audioquest Jaws: Test and Listening

Thanks to its gauge and shielding, this cable can be used with most audio equipment, from sources to amplifiers and preamplifiers.

The most spectacular results are found on an amplifier, where the soundstage clearly expands in both width and depth. There is also a more beautiful reproduction of the bass, which gains in cleanliness and definition while offering more texture. As for the mid-highs, it feels as though a veil has been lifted!
