This new power cable utilizes solid Perfect-Surface Copper Plus (PSC+) conductors. The drain wire features a 6% silver plating.

While many power cables feature low resistance to meet high current demands, a cable's characteristic impedance is equally crucial for delivering optimal performance.

Unlike most cables that compress transients, AudioQuest mains cables combine low DC resistance with ZERO characteristic impedance. This allows high-current transients to pass completely uncompressed.

The Tornado Source is equipped with high-end Storm-series plugs featuring silver plating directly applied over Red Copper and Beryllium Copper: these top-tier AudioQuest connectors achieve even lower distortion and superior high-frequency noise dissipation.

The DBS biased shielding (patented by AudioQuest) creates a powerful, stable electrostatic field that saturates and polarizes the insulation. This minimizes noise floor and prevents RF interference from entering sensitive electronics.

The DBS batteries offer an estimated lifespan of approximately 10 years. An integrated test button allows you to easily check battery status at any time.
