The Nordost Blue Heaven 3 power cable may not look very impressive, but don't be fooled. The use of top-of-the-range conductors and connectors, assembled with care, gives it remarkable performance.

Nordost Blue Heaven 3: Construction

Nordost Blue Heaven 3 uses 3 conductors with a cross-section of 2 mm². These are made from 105 strands of 99.9999% pure OFC copper. The electrical insulation is made of FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene).
Capacitance is around 10 pF and resistance below 3 ohms.
It is fitted with a gold-plated proprietary Schuko plug and a 15 A IEC C13 plug. Note that on this new version, the cable is fitted with two black ferrite-like rings.

Nordost Blue Heaven 3: Return

The Blue Heaven 3 cable is still an entry-level model from American manufacturer Nordost, yet its contribution to a system is far from insignificant. It gives a better balance to the sound reproduction, with in particular a very precise treble and a taut, articulate bass. It also provides a deeper soundstage, with less dark and, above all, more accurate backgrounds.
