Description

The latest generation of the Atlas Element TT R1 phono cable brings several new innovations to deliver a more subtle, more balanced and more transparent sound.

ATLAS ELEMENT TT R1: features

Developed to meet the growing demand for quality cables dedicated to analogue, and in particular to turntables fitted with RCA outputs. It uses high-purity OFC copper conductors with an expanded PEF dielectric. It is built around a pseudo-symmetrical configuration of the two channels and a braided OFC shield. One of the essential elements is the connector. More than ten years ago, Atlas found that the traditional RCA connector, CNC-machined with a metal body, had a weak point, with a significant loss of performance. Their research showed that polycarbonate, and then ABS, were higher-performing materials for the connector body. This made it possible to create a low-dielectric-constant, low-mass, non-conductive RCA connector while retaining the robustness and stability of a CNC-machined product. The connection to the conductors is made by crimping, and therefore without solder. This cable is supplied with a ground cable fitted with flat spade connectors.

ATLAS ELEMENT TT R1: test and listening

The Atlas Element TT R1 phono cable is extremely quiet and is perfectly suited to the very low output levels of moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. It represents a significant improvement over the cables originally supplied with entry-level turntables. The Atlas Element TT R1 delivers a rich, balanced sound that fully immerses you in the music. Its value for money is exceptional.
