The new Audio Technica AT33 x Mono/II is the evolution of the famous AT33 Mono. This new benchmark model is equipped with a new generator and a new stylus/cantilever assembly that delivers rich, precise and warm sound suitable for many styles of music.

Audio Technica AT33x Mono/II: Body

Each body of the AT33x series cartridges is made of three distinct materials: die-cast zinc, aluminium and a high-rigidity polymer. These are optimally arranged to reduce and disperse resonance throughout the cartridge body. With this sandwich construction, no frequency predominates during playback, providing balanced and natural sound reproduction.
The screws are mounted through threaded inserts integrated into the cartridge body for easy installation. The connection pins are thickly gold-plated to reduce contact resistance and improve sound quality.

Audio Technica AT33x Mono/II: Generator

The AT33x Mono/II's rigid duralumin cantilever is paired with a conical stylus for improved frequency response. It is connected to a rigid suspension mechanism, which slightly reduces dynamic compliance.

The Audio Technica AT33xMONO/II features a true mono dual moving coil design that is insensitive to vertical noise picked up from the record groove. It generates an electrical signal solely from horizontal movement. The result is exceptionally clear mono sound with deeper bass and reduced surface noise. This dual mono coil design is also ideal for mono listening on a stereo system.

Audio Technica AT33xMono/II: Sound reproduction

This new mono cartridge from the AT33x series has been completely redesigned. It offers that classic analogue sound, rich in detail across the entire audio spectrum and with striking expressiveness in the midrange and bass. The AT33xMONO/II preserves the warmth and fullness of acoustic instruments, such as those captured on mono jazz recordings from the 1950s and 1960s.
