Nagaoka MP-Mono cartridge

In order to optimize the reproduction of a monophonic vinyl record, it is recommended to listen to it with a cell dedicated to monophonic playback.

Many monophonic cartridges on the market today feature stylus tips measuring 0.6~0.7 millimeters to accommodate modern record burning.

The Nagaoka MP-MONO is equipped as standard with a 0.7 millimeter oval diamond, developed with the aim of obtaining high-resolution monophonic reproduction by bringing out the contours and realism of the sound of monophonic records pressed after 1950.

But it is possible to add it as an option with a 1 mil diamond in Ellipse (Nagaoka J-PMONO1.0E) which is the standard for monophonic LPs produced between the mid-1940s to the mid-1950s.

Nagaoka is particularly attentive to sound reproduction and the atmosphere of the period, and this Nagaoka MP-Mono cartridge is designed to reproduce a mono signal as faithful as possible to the original engraving.
