Gold Note ES-78 MM cartridge

The Gold Note ES-78 MM cartridge is designed for “small” entry-level turntables. Nevertheless, it’s very well-conceived and very versatile.

GOLD NOTE ES-78: CHARACTERISTICS

The body is made of black POM. The conical diamond is mounted on an aluminium cantilever. The copper coils provide a conventional and comfortable 4 mV output level.

Of course, this phono cartridge was also optimised to operate with all MM phono inputs provided with integrated amplifiers and all quality MM phono preamplifiers.

GOLD NOTE ES-78: TESTING AND LISTENING

The Gold Note ES-78 MM cartridge gives excellent results in terms of timbre and transparency.

Resolution and dynamics are excellent for an MM cartridge at this price. Furthermore, surface noise is pretty low and the cartridge is barely affected by the condition of vinyl records.
