This new line from Japanese manufacturer VM95 replaces all of Audio Technica’s entry-level cartridges. The Audio Technica AT-VM95E cartridge replaces the AT95e and AT95EX models.

Audio Technica AT-VM95E: Generator

All six Hi-Fi cartridge models in this line share the same generator.

It consists of a single copper coil, unlike the VM 500 and 700 series, which feature a dual-coil generator.

To facilitate installation, the body is equipped with a threaded brass insert, which eliminates the need for a nut and provides better clamping torque.

Audio Technica AT-VM95E: Stylus

The difference between the six cartridges in the VM95 series lies in their stylus, which is identified by a color code. The sound quality and price are determined by the quality and profile of the stylus offered.

This green stylus features an elliptical tip. It is designed for entry-level turntables that do not have a very high-quality tonearm, as well as for those on a modest budget.

Audio Technica AT-VM95E: Replacement Stylus

This Audio Technica AT-VM95E cartridge can be upgraded by replacing the original AT-VMN95E stylus with an Audio Technica AT-VMN95EN, or an AT-VMN95SH stylus.

It is also possible to add a stylus for 78s, the AT-VMN95SP model, as well as two styluses for DJ use: the ATN-XP5 and ATN-XP7.
