The Audio Technica VM 530x EN MM cartridge incorporates some of the innovations and technologies developed for the manufacturer's top-of-the-range models, such as the Audio Technica VM 740 ML. However, a few technological concessions have been made in order to keep the price affordable.

This uses the same generator as the Audio Technica VM 520 EB MM cartridge.
It features dual magnets using “VM” technology. Instead of using a single large magnet, the two magnets are arranged in the shape of a "V".
They are precisely positioned to match the positions of the left and right channels.
The VM design of this AudioTechnica cartridge ensures better channel separation and frequency response.
Para-toroidal coils using high-purity PCOCC copper conductors enhance generator efficiency and provide superb linearity.
We also note that a shielding plate has been inserted between the two coils, reducing crosstalk between the two channels.
Audio Technica VM 530x EN: Diamond
The Audio Technica VM 530 EN cartridge is equipped with a high-end elliptical diamond.
Its low mass gives it greater velocity and, consequently, better harmonic reproduction.
It is encapsulated (not glued) on a pure aluminum cantilever.
What's more, the Audio Technica VM530 cartridge's built-in rocking diamond guard is extremely practical.

The cartridge structure is made of a low-resonance polymer. This limits vibrations as much as possible for the most precise, cleanest playback possible.
The connectors on this AudioTechnica VM530x are gold-plated.
Its weight, support force and compliance make it suitable for use with most turntable tonearms.

With this VM 530x EN, we find all the musicality and qualities of Audio Technica cartridges.
Restitution is lively and precise! Definition is excellent, and frequency response is very wide at both ends of the spectrum.
It favors transparency and clarity. One is surprised to hear so much extracted from the groove on a phono cartridge of this range.
An excellent moving-magnet (MM) cartridge offering a fine alternative to Ortofon, Grado or Goldring cells.

J ai découvert des fréquences inexistantes auparavant. Une clarté, une précision. Quand on dit qu upgrader sa cellule c est efficace alors là je confirme. Fonctionne parfaitement sur denon dp300f.

Un son équilibré
Montage effectuée sur une platine Thorens TD166 MK2. Dès la première écoute, un son comme je les aime : un équilibre parfait entre les aigus, médiums et basses. Un excellent choix pour ce type de platine qui n'accepte pas toutes les cellules du marché.
