The 2M R Red is a moving magnet cartridge designed by Ortofon specifically for Rega turntables and tonearms. Which replacement styli fit the 2M R Red cartridge?
Its stylus can be replaced with a 2M Red or 2M Blue stylus. When it wears out, you can choose the Ortofon 2M Red stylus, or step up to the 2M Blue for even greater performance and realism.
Will I need a phono preamplifier with the Rega Replay Plus?
The Ortofon 2M R Red is an MM cartridge, so it connects to an MM phono input. If your amplifier has one, like the Rega Brio amplifier, no external preamplifier is needed.
