The Pro-Ject Debut III S Audiophile turntable is a special edition of the Debut III that offers several interesting and original characteristics.
PRO-JECT DEBUT III S AUDIOPHILE: CHARACTERISTICS
Of course, it takes the base the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable, i.e. the baseboard and the cover. It is the same for mechanical elements such as spindle and bearing.
It also has the motor and platter of this "best-seller".
This Debut III S Audiophile has new stands made of aluminium/TPE. These one ensures a perfect mechanical insulation of the baseboard and the support.
The phono cable is the Pro-Ject Connect It E, that is certainly the best phono cable supplied as standard on a turntable of less than 1000 €.
PRO-JECT DEBUT III S AUDIOPHILE: TONEARM AND CARTRIDGE
The Debut III S Audiophile is in fact a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with the 8.6 Carbon tonearm removed! The Pro-Ject manufacturer replaced it by a more affordable model (without carbon) and a different design.
The 8.6 S, as its name indicates, offers a tube made of aluminium with a “S” profile. The manufacture of a S tonearm is generally more complex than a straight tonearm, which usually reserves this type of tonearm for higher-end turntables.
It is standard equipped with a Pick It 25 A MM cartridge. These one has been developed with Ortofon on the basis of an OM10 cartridge but integrating a generator with silver coils.
PRO-JECT DEBUT III S AUDIOPHILE: TEST AND LISTENING
The restitution is quite similar to the Debut Carbon.
However, we notice interpretation differences. Indeed, on the whole, we cannot say if it is better or worse... it is different!
The Pro-Ject Debut III S Audiophile seems more dynamic and offers a slightly more solid bass. Maybe the midrange is less precise and the whole thing is less subtle than on the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon, but it is still above the current fashionable Asian competitors!
This Pro-Ject Debut III S Audiophile vinyl turntable is an excellent surprise and, at this price, it will delight all Rock or Electronic music lovers!

Je souhaitais changer de platine vinyle avec un budget assez serré .j’ai été bien conseillé par Franck et j’en suis ravi ! on voit que l’on à faire a des vrais professionnels de la profession comme on dits chez nous ! et non pas de simple revendeur ses conseils sont précieux cette platine se marie bien avec mes enceintes FOCAL aria 936 , je pense que la platine Platine vinyle Pro-Ject Debut III S Audiophile est un bon compromis . je redecouvre mes disques

Ca y est, elle est branchée et tourne admirablement bien.
Merci à Franck pour sa patience et sa compétence. Je l'ai bien dérangé avec mes questions. Quelle gentillesse et quel dévouement. C'est la première fois que j'ai une platine audiophile. Je redécouvre carrément mes vinyles. Les basses, les médiums, les aigues sont vraiment bien distincts. Le design est super aussi. Je l'adore déjà.
