The DEBUT CARBON 2M Red Special Edition turntable is an evolution of the Austrian manufacturer's now famous Pro-Ject DEBUT CARBON turntable.
Designed on the basis of the DEBUT CARBON, it benefits from some improvements specific to the latter.
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon - 2m red SE: Motor and drive
This Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with 2m Red airframe is equipped with a new AC motor with a new suspension, equipped with two sorbothane silentblocks. This limits vibrations in the turntable and therefore improves the signal-to-noise ratio.
On this motor, we also find a new bearing with a stainless steel axle. This is powered by an external DC power supply. A circuit reconditions an alternating current with a stable frequency of 50 Hz.
The 33rpm/45t gear shift is done with ease by lifting the platter and changing the sprocket belt.
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon - 2m red SE: Tonearm and cartridge
The tonearm, the "8.6 Carbon", is made of a single piece of carbon with an effective weight of 6 g. Its rigidity gives it greater neutrality and precision than the aluminum model.
This Debut Carbon 2M Red turntable is therefore equipped as standard with the Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge.

It should be noted that the arm output cables are not captive and that it is therefore easy to upgrade the standard ones to more efficient models, such as the manufacturer's "Connect it".
This Debut Carbon with 2m red airframe also comes with a translucent protective cover.

The top is made of steel and is therefore combined with a felt tray mat. It is possible to replace it with an Acryl It and it becomes a Pro-Ject DEBUT CARBON ESPRIT turntable!

The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with 2m Red cartridge is very precise and balanced.
The low noise level leaves room for music and details. The soundstage is surprising for a turntable of this price.
Its dynamics and neutrality make it very versatile in terms of musical style. It gives excellent results on Jazz or Blues as well as on Classical or Rock!
The technical and technological choices adopted by Pro-ject are once again a success.
At this price it is clearly unrivalled! Careful... It is in a limited version with this cartridge and at this price!

j'adore cette platine sobre et belle,je redecouvre mes vieux vinyles,recu deja monté et reglée un pur bonheur et avec les conseils de maPlatine et un emballage au top.
seul petit bemol pour le prix le plateau en feutrine ,ca fait un peu radin.

Emballage costaud et soigné. Et la platine répond en tout point à l’idée que je m’en faisait. Elle est sobre, élégante et sonne divinement bien!
Très bonne platine
La platine m'a plus dès la première écoute avec des médiums détaillés . Je pense que je la ferai évoluer rapidement avec une cellule 2MBlue. Elle me change de ma Rega Planar 3 qui est en rade. La pauvre mamie.
