With nearly four decades of experience and the design of some of the most renowned tweeters in the world, Daniel Emonts has designed the tweeter for the Atalante without any compromise.

The high frequencies are handled by the famous 28 mm soft dome tweeter that receives a RASC treatment. It also features the patented integrated ARID (Anti-Reflection Inner Dome) technology. The rear chamber of the driver incorporates a BCD damping system designed to absorb over 95% of the resonances generated by the moving assembly. This allows for a very low resonance frequency (560 Hz!). Its asymmetrical suspension provides more linear guidance without dome resonance. An oversized ferrite magnet (10 cm in circumference) achieves an efficiency of 91 dB.

The midrange is entrusted to a superb 75 mm (3 inches) soft dome driver. The inverted suspension ensures more linear guidance and resonance-free dome operation. The higher the frequencies, the less sound the dome emits. The specific shape of the suspension allows for better dispersion of waves to the sides.

This driver is exceptional for its range, and it is considered by Revival to be the best midrange driver on the market.

The bass is reproduced by a magnificent and unprecedented 38 cm driver! This driver is equipped with a BSC (Basalt Sandwich Construction) membrane that offers a blend of lightness and rigidity to provide excellent transient response. This results in fast, fluid, and deep bass while being dynamic and controlled. This driver is equipped with an oversized ferrite magnet connected to a very open 10-branch chassis. It offers the best balance between rigidity and lightness.

The bass/reflex loading exits at the front through an aluminum port. This port features a surface design called AeroVex. It was designed after hundreds of hours of simulation. This profile reduces turbulence and minimizes airflow noise by over 94%. The aluminum rim further enhances structural stability, as its unique design forms an elbow inside the enclosure.

At Revival Audio, the filter is designed through listening by placing real components on a test board and measuring and listening to the results with each modification. This allows for precise optimization that is fully aligned with the drivers and the enclosure. Revival always tries to use the fewest components possible to preserve the integrity of the signal. For the internal wiring, the designer has chosen Skyline Hybrid cables from Van Den Hul.

The Revival Atalante 7 was created in collaboration with A+A COOREN DESIGN STUDIO in Paris. The cabinet is veneered in real walnut wood, either light or dark. A horizontal strip as well as the logo (laser-engraved) made from another type of wood are inlaid between the tweeter and the midrange.

The internal partitioning of the cabinet offers maximum rigidity, developed after hundreds of hours of simulation and testing. This structural integrity reduces unwanted resonances and provides a more precise tonal balance.

If you do not want to see the speakers, you can hide them behind two fabric grilles secured by magnets.

The speakers are asymmetrical and are marked "right/left" for optimal placement. The tweeters are therefore placed outside the listening area. In certain specific cases, the manufacturer recommends reversing them.

The back of the speaker features a high-quality mono-wiring terminal. It is compatible with banana plugs or spade connectors. Above, there are two large ports that justify the bass/reflex loading.

These speakers come with specific stands to optimize their reproduction. They are designed to integrate with the speaker, isolated by spikes under the base of the cabinet. Adjustable spikes allow for leveling the entire setup.

Revival Audio Atalante 7 Evo: Test and Listening

The Revival Atalante 7 already recalls the great monitoring speakers of the 70s/80s that used large diameter bass drivers.

As we could expect, the bass of the Atalante 7 Evo is incredibly ample and generous. It is, of course, necessary to control it in the room through careful placement and also by choosing the associated amplifier wisely.

This 38 cm driver provides an unprecedented presence and impact in the bass! The bass is physical and well-defined. It gives remarkable articulation to the bass guitar, double bass, or a bass sequencer!

It is complemented by a very open, transparent, and clear midrange. The top of the spectrum is both bright and silky. It conveys highs with great finesse. This ensemble is very coherent and balanced. The quality of timbre is part of the success of this speaker.
