PRO-JECT Speaker Box 3E speakers

Only two speakers are capable of delivering true stereo sound. With the Speaker Box 3 E, Pro-Ject has developed a compact pair of loudspeakers that delivers impressive sound reproduction, while being as small as possible and as large as necessary, all at a very reasonable price.

The Pro-ject Speaker Box 3 is a compact 2-way speaker (160 x 106 x 152 mm) with bass reflex loading. The port emerges from the back of the speaker, requiring it to be lifted some ten centimetres from the wall.

Thanks to their compact size, these speakers are ideal for use as desktop monitors, but also for small hifi systems.

Their nominal impedance of 4 ohms, combined with a sensitivity of 85dB (1w /1m), requires an amplifier with an output power of over 25W.

Connection is via an attractive gold-plated terminal block, which accepts banana plugs.

The loudspeakers can be concealed behind a magnetically-mounted loudspeaker cover.

Reproduction is surprisingly good, given the size of the speakers. Of course, you shouldn't expect abysmal bass, but the Speaker Box 3 E is detailed and particularly well-balanced, filling small spaces with ease.
