Dual CS 455-1 EV vinyl turntable

Dual's CS 455-1 EV vinyl turntable is a variant of Dual's CS 455 turntable. It is entirely derived from it, except for the integrated MM phono preamplifier. This way, you can connect it directly to the 'Aux' of any audio device.

Dual CS 455-1 EV: plinth and platter

The plinth is entirely made of wood and the hub features the floating system. The aluminium platter has an antistatic felt mat to ward off resonance.

The platter is driven by a DC motor and a flat belt. 

Dual CS 455-1 EV: speed change

The Dual CS 455-1 EV turntable has three playback speeds: 33, 45 and 78 rpm.

We recommend replacing the OEM stylus with Ortofon's OM78 stylusto play your 78 RPM records.

Dual CS 455-1 EV: tonearm and cartridge

It comes with an aluminium tonearm and a carbon headshell. The headshell has an Ortofon OM10 cartridge.

This tonearm uses a cardan bearing that operates based on the gyroscope principle. Thus, friction is minimised. It also enables the tracking force to be adjusted with a high-precision torsion spring placed vertically.

Anti-skating adjustment is done with a dial at the base of the arm. Eventually, a higher end phono cartridge like the Ortofon 2M Blue can be used.
