The Atoll CD200 SE2 CD player is the high-end model in this renowned CD player range by Atoll. It uses a Burr Brown PCM1792 digital-to-analogue converter and has 7 regulated power supplies, including one for the converter alone. The digital and analogue sections are also powered separately. In fact, the digital stages are powered by a 15VA transformer and the audio stages are powered by a 16VA transformer. It has a pure audio CD mechanism (optimised to reduce jitter) mounted onto an anti-resonance body and can play CDs, CD-Rs and MP3 files.

You can control the Atoll CD200 SE2 CD player either using the buttons on the the right-hand side of the front panel or the multi-function remote control provided with the device. It also has an RCA stereo analogue output for connecting to an integrated amplifier. The Atoll CD200 SE2 CD player is often paired with the Atoll AM200 integrated amp. It can also be connected to a digital-to-analogue converter, such as the Atoll DAC 200, or an audio/video amplifier via its coaxial S/PDIF digital output.

It also gives you the option of inserting a digital input card. This card transforms your CD player into a digital-to-analogue converter, and therefore a multi-source player! If you do choose the install this optional digital card, you will also be able to access the CD200 SE2’s USB input and either the coaxial S/PDIF input or Toslink optical input. The USB input lets you play music directly through your computer (e.g. streaming platform, internet radio) and the coaxial/optical input lets you connect the CD200 SE2 to a digital source (TV, radio tuner, satellite receiver, etc.).
