Its solid aluminium platter, weighing over 10.5 kg, sits on a magnetically decoupled inverted bearing. Repelling magnets lighten the load on the spindle and its ceramic ball. Two motors drive a magnetically levitated flywheel, which in turn drives the platter via a third belt. This design ensures remarkably stable speed.
Its new 12-inch tonearm replaces the unipivot with a 3-point pivot, reducing friction and improving stability. With an effective mass of around 22 g, it is built for low-output, low-compliance MC cartridges. Hand-assembled, the Signature 12.2 is made of around 100 machined parts, all manufactured in-house.
We listened to it with the Ortofon MC Anna Diamond cartridge and the Gold Note PH 10 phono preamplifier. The bass has breathtaking scale and depth, with no loss of articulation. The soundstage is wide enough to fill the entire room.

AVC is a digital control system that corrects motor vibrations in real time. All turntables are supplied without a tonearm, leaving you free to choose your own pairing.
Acoustic Signature Typhoon Neo
The most accomplished model in the "Tripod" line, the Typhoon Neo takes the shape of a three-pointed star. Its 75 mm solid aluminium plinth brings its weight to over 35 kg. Its 50 mm aluminium platter weighs 13 kg and houses 24 Silencers. Three AC motors, controlled by level-2 AVC, drive it via belts. It can take up to three tonearms from 9 to 12 inches.
We recommend pairing it with the Acoustic Signature TA-5000 Neo tonearm in its 12-inch version, to make the most of its silent operation and soundstage.
Acoustic Signature Verona Neo
The Verona Neo combines a classic rectangular format with the brand's most advanced technology. It measures 55 × 45 cm and weighs 33 kg without a tonearm. It is available in Makassar wood or black piano lacquer. Its multi-layer chassis combines MDF, steel and plywood. Two motors drive it, controlled by level-3 AVC, the highest in the range.
Fitted with at least a 12-inch TA-2000 Neo tonearm, it delivers fluid, lively and highly realistic sound.

VPI: American craftsmanship
VPI Avenger
A project initiated by VPI co-founder Harry Weisfeld, the Avenger opens the brand's reference range. Its tripod chassis stacks three layers – acrylic, solid aluminium and acrylic – separated by damping material. It can take up to three tonearms of any brand and length. The 30.5 cm solid aluminium platter weighs 11.5 kg. It is driven by a motor housed in a separate enclosure, connected to the turntable by the belt alone.
Its 12-inch JMW-12-3D unipivot tonearm, made by 3D printing, is neutral enough to tell two cartridges apart within seconds. Made in the USA, it is supplied without a cartridge.
Clearaudio: German precision
Clearaudio Performance DC Pack Artist
A variant of the renowned Performance DC, this turntable sandwiches its chassis between two aluminium plates. Cavities filled with damping balls neutralise vibrations. The 40 mm platter is machined from POM and spins on the CMB ceramic and bronze bearing, relieved by magnetic repulsion. The result is perfectly silent rotation at 33, 45 or 78 rpm.
Supplied with the Satisfy Kardan Black tonearm and the Artist V2 MM cartridge, it is ready to play. It has received a Diapason d'Or award.
