L’power supply It comes in the form of a PVC ingot with a somewhat industrial look. Its dimensions are already imposing for its function, although it remains easily placeable. Its weight of nearly 2 kg speaks volumes about the quality of manufacturing.
At the back, you find the entrance of the power cable at the IEC 14 formant. Thepower supply is delivered with a standard cord, but SBooster strongly encourages upgrading with a higher quality power cable.
On the front, there is a cable armored with a length of 95 cm. The BOTW is delivered with 4 adapters allowing connection to 98% of the products on the market:

L’SBooster Botw 24vAC power supply provides a perfectly stable and silent current. The current purification begins immediately upon entering the power supply. A two-stage mains filter and a ground choke eliminate high-frequency pollution before the current reaches the transformer. The transformer is a custom-made audio quality transformer with electrostatic shielding. It is completely oversized and offers 50 vA.

The combination of power and precision allows for a much more natural reproduction, a better soundstage, as well as improved transparency, while providing maximum detail and accuracy.
On a turntable, it is certainly more subtle than on a phono preamp, but it remains audible and perfectly perceptible.

Elle fait la différence
Utilisée sur une Rega Planar 6, les différences sont effectivement subtibles mais notables. Globalement on ressent moins de brouhaha et la stabilité des plans sonores est accrue. Ensuite, j'ai pu remarquer les choses suivantes: extinction des notes un peu plus longue, meilleure articulation/accentuation/intelligibilité, plus de netteté dans le grave, des aigus plus propres, un peu plus d'aération, des vibratos plus soutenus et pour finir un meilleur suivi rythmique et une restitution plus entraînante.
Je tiens à mentionner l'exemplarité et la réactivité du SAV Maplatine. L'alimentation est arrivé avec le boîtier fendu et le transfo se promenant à l'intérieur, malgré aucun signe de dommage sur le colis. Suite à cela, prise de contact avec Maplatine, échange de formalités, renvoi de l'appareil et remplacement. Commande intiale passée lundi, remplacement à neuf arrivé vendredi! Un SAV au top!
