To end 2019 in beauty, the turntable leader wanted to make analog music accessible to all. The manufacturer Pro-Ject launched a new vinyl turntable range, the T1 models. It consists of a both democratic and quality range!
The Pro-Ject T1 turntable
The Pro-Ject T1 turntable is the most affordable product offered by the Austrian manufacturer so far. However, Pro-Ject has not neglected the product!
For this T1, Pro-Ject kept the main features of a quality turntable: MDF baseboard, damping stands insensitive to resonances, aluminium tonearm, felt platter mat, Ortofon OM 5e cartridge, etc. And we feel it at the listening! For this price range, we must admit that this “small” Pro-Ject T1 turntable is surprising in terms of realism and precision, in addition to look at!
To us, it competes by far with all the other models available at this price… If you have a tight budget and want to get started in vinyl, this new Pro-Ject T1 is recommended!
The Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB turntable
The Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB turntable is the second model that made up this new vinyl turntable range. It takes up all technical element of the T1. And the restitution quality is still there!
Its name “Phono SB” comes from the fact that this Pro-Ject turntable is equipped as standard with an MM phono preamplifier, which has the additional feature to be able to disconnect. So you can improve the sound reproduction of your T1 Phono SB by adding a separated phono stage in the future. Another advantage: the T1 Phono SB has a speed control, allowing you to pass from 33 rpm to 45 rpm thanks to a simple button. All these at good price, we can only appreciate!
The Pro-Ject T1 BT turntable
The Pro-Ject T1 BT turntable is the third and last model in the new T1 range. Once again, we find all the technical and musical features of the first model.
Like the Phono SB, this Pro-Ject T1 BT is equipped with an integrated phono preamp, for MM cartridge. However, this one is rather different from the Phono SB by its Bluetooth transmitter. So if you have a device equipped with a Bluetooth receiver, you can listen to your records via the Bluetooth device integrated into this Pro-Ject T1 BT turntable.
A good solution when you cannot equip yourself with a “real” Hi-Fi system but want to start with vinyl at a reasonable cost!
With this new range of T1 turntables, the Pro-Ject brand is confirming its leading position as a turntable manufacturer. It knows how to apply all of its know-how to design quality products for all budgets, from entry-level to very high-end. And this new T1 series demonstrates it once again!
