Nordost Purple Flare 3 XLR: Technical specifications

The Nordost Purple Flare 3 XLR modulation cable consists of six 0.13 mm² OFC conductors that have been silver-plated. To increase shielding, the conductors are arranged in twisted pairs. Each conductor is insulated with high quality extruded FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) before being covered with two 97% effective shielding screens. This construction significantly reduces noise and maintains the integrity of the audio signal. Connection is via excellent Neutrik XLR sockets.

There is no doubt that the Nordost Purple Flare 3 XLR offers excellent dynamics and a significant improvement in definition and precision. It reveals all the instruments in the background with ease. It also offers a more transparent and refined reproduction. The Purple Flare 3 XLR reproduces the lower end of the spectrum with great dynamics and stability. It offers little coloration and excellent balance. The soundstage is also very realistic, not the most demonstrative, but very accurate.
